I'm currently flying above somehwere between Lake Tahoe & Mount Rushmore, on my way back to Boston from a week of playing, hiking & puppy-hugging in the San Francisco Bay Area. It’s always hard to leave sunny California, but I’m excited to be heading eastward for my last fiddle camp & tour of 2015.
This coming weekend I’ll be teaching some Ottawa Valley, Québecois & Métis fiddle workshops at Fiddle Hell, a fiddle camp run by the Reiner family in Westford, MA. It’s my second year at camp, and sure to be a fun weekend with workshops from Gypsy Jazz, to Québecois, to Cape Breton to Appalachian and many things in between! Still time to join the fun, here.
Next week I head north for a special hometown CD release concert in Timmins with my friends Colin Cotter & Allison de Groot joining me on guitar & clawhammer banjo. Local violinist extraoirdinaire Alexandre Bigeau will be opening the show, and we can’t wait! Still some tickets available at Shoppers & online here.
From there, Colin & I continue on a week tour of Ontario, with shows in Sudbury, Teeswater, Kincardine, and a workshop & show in Toronto. Details can be found here. Hope to see you at a show!
