Hope this finds you all well. It’s been a whirlwind year already, and we’re only a month in!
I'm currently having a wondrful time playing with the National Dance Company of Ireland for their USA Rhythm of the Dance Tour. We’ve got a bunch of shows coming up in the next two months throughout the US, and would love to see you out!
This January I jumped right into the new year & the studio to record my first album! We spent 4 days at Dimension Sound Studios in Jamaica Plain, MA with Dan Cardinal engineering, and Bruce Molsky fearlessly producing. It is always such a pleasure to work & play with so many supremely musical folks, and we really can’t wait to share the music with you all. The album heads off to be mastered soon, and you can find a few photos and previews on my Facebook page.
As of this December, I’m officially a Berklee College of Music graduate. I was fortunate to spend three years at Berklee among some of the most engaging and inspiring professors and students, and believe me, I kept trying to find more courses to take so I didn’t have to graduate already!
Among some of the most exciting projects I was involved in at Berklee was Berklee World Strings, a contemporary string orchestra under the direction of the inimitable Eugene Friesen. Eugene and I co-arranged some of my favourite québecois fiddle pieces for the group, and we performed it during our US tour last spring. Here is a video from our Rockport, MA performance in the breathtaking Shalin Liu performance centre >
Hope you all are surviving this chilly winter and are finding ways to enjoy all of the snow!
